Terms of use

These terms apply to the Compass IAS learning platform (the website at learn.compassias.in and any related app), provided by BISKOOL EDU HUB LLP. As most students are under 18, a parent or legal guardian accepts these terms on the student's behalf at admission and is responsible for the student's use of the platform.

1. Accounts

• Accounts are created when a parent or guardian applies online (with their consent), or by the academy after admission. There is no other public sign-up.
• Each account is for one student only. Keep the password private and don't let others use the account.
• Tell the academy straight away if you think someone else has used the account.
• Access to paid courses depends on an active enrolment. It may end when the enrolment period ends or if these terms are broken.

2. Using the platform properly

You agree not to:

• share live class links, passcodes, recordings or study materials with anyone outside the course (materials are stamped with the student's name to discourage this);
• record, copy, sell or republish classes or materials;
• get help from others or use unauthorised aids in exams, or try to interfere with timing or scoring;
• behave disrespectfully in live classes, or share inappropriate content;
• try to access other people's accounts or data, or disrupt the platform.

3. Live classes and recordings

• Live classes are held on Zoom, and recorded classes are played from YouTube. Their own terms also apply to their services. Recordings are for the enrolled student's personal study only; please don't share their links.
• Classes may be recorded so enrolled students can watch them again. Students may appear or be heard in recordings. The parent or guardian agrees to this in the consent given at admission.
• Join links open shortly before each class and are only for enrolled students.

4. Quizzes and exams

• Timers and deadlines are set by our server; answers submitted after the deadline are not counted.
• Results are for guidance and progress tracking.
• Where a teacher enables a leaderboard, a first name and initial and score are shown to classmates, unless the student chooses to appear as “Anonymous”.

5. Content ownership

All classes, recordings, notes, questions and other materials belong to Compass IAS or its licensors and are provided for the enrolled student's personal study only.

6. Fees and refunds

Fees are as agreed at admission. Access is activated once payment is verified. Fees once paid are not refundable.

7. No guarantee of results

IAS @ School provides an early, structured foundation. We cannot guarantee success in any examination, including the UPSC Civil Services Examination.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the platform available and secure but can't promise it will always be uninterrupted. We may improve or change features, and will update these terms when needed, telling parents about significant changes.

9. Suspension

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after contacting the parent or guardian where appropriate.

10. Liability and law

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the fees paid for the course. These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the courts at Kozhikode, Kerala.
